Want to support organizers across NYC to run powerful art builds?
We need more co-hosts to help facilitate art builds at Many Hands Workshop! Join us in the workshop this summer for our new 2-hour co-host training.
Level up our art facilitator skills
Learn how to welcome new people into Many Hands Workshop and plug them into art builds and organizing
Practice teaching skills like stenciling, heat press, painting banners and signs
Talk about the role of community-based art making in fighting fascism
Go over some of the basic FAQs of the workshop, like “Where is the bathroom?”and “How do I clean my paint brush?”
If you’ve ever come to an art build at Many Hands Workshop and wanted to get more involved, becoming a co-host is one of the best ways to do that. After the training, you will be invited to use your co-hosting skills at one of our upcoming public art builds.
What if I’ve already been an art build host before? If you’ve volunteered to be a host at an art build or taken a training at MHW in the past, we still encourage you to sign up for this co-host training. This training will be slightly different from the host orientations that happen before art builds. The MHW core team is working on building a standardized baseline of things every co-host should know. This co-host training is where we’ll go over that baseline information and all get synced up!
Please note: The training is a single 2-hour evening training, not a series. We'll be adding multiple dates, so that people have more oppotunites to make one of the training dates.
